Start of training in 2024: Young talents embark on the future together with Flottweg
On September 1, 2024, 25 trainees started their very own Flottweg at the cutting technology specialist Flottweg from Vilsbiburg. With a total of 64 trainees, Flottweg is once again one of the largest training companies in the district of Landshut this year. A total of 15 industrial mechanics, 6 mechatronics engineers, 2 warehouse logistics specialists and 2 industrial clerks with an additional qualification as a certified professional specialist in foreign language communication started at Flottweg. With 25 new trainees, Flottweg has reached a record number this year.
To enable the trainees and trainers to get to know each other for the first time, the new arrivals started with a get-to-know-you camp lasting several days. “Our get-to-know-you days have become an important tradition and an important way of facilitating an exchange on an equal footing from day one. In recent years, it has been shown that this immediately creates a collegial atmosphere in the team and makes the start to working life easier. The new trainees also get to know Flottweg better as an employer,” explains Head of Training Daniel Wimmer.
Learn the most important basics: Flottweg's training workshop
The internal training workshop is the first port of call for industrial mechanics and mechatronics technicians: This is where the basic technical knowledge and skills are taught up to the Part 1 final examination. From the middle of the second year of training, training then takes place in the factory. There, the trainees pass through the transfer positions in the individual production halls, such as production, assembly, plant engineering or quality inspection. “We attach great importance to fair cooperation, which is encouraged in daily work, in various projects and also at joint events,” says Daniel Wimmer. “Creativity, team spirit, solution-oriented work and manual skills are required when working on a wide range of trainee projects. Everyone can contribute individually and design their own project.”
