Product Line for Animal By-products Processing Expanded: Flottweg Acquires Stord
As of March 22, 2018, Flottweg has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Stord Process AS, based in Bergen, Norway. Stord specializes in the engineering and sales of technology and equipment for the fish and rendering industry.
The company offers dryers, screw presses, evaporators and heat exchangers as well as other process components. Together with separation technology know-how from Flottweg, customers will have a wider range of options from which to choose regarding the processing of animal by-products. With this acquisition, Flottweg is expanding its solutions portfolio.
Flottweg Secures Position as Solutions Provider
Stord Process AS is an engineering company that has equipment manufactured under license for the fish and meat processing industry. Harald Nesse, the previous owner of Stord Process AS, has been with the company since 1994. He transferred the entirety of the company's shares to Flottweg because of his advanced age. He will continue to support Flottweg as a consulting director until further notice, to help ensure a smooth transition.
