On the Road for Six Weeks in Spain: The Traveling Test Truck

Not all sewage sludge is the same – that’s a key factor for sewage treatment plants. Various criteria influence the composition of the sewage sludge, such as surrounding industrial plants or hospitals. Flottweg's test truck is on the road as a mobile unit in order to test the respective sludge under real conditions and to be able to deliver meaningful results.

A test truck was traveling throughout Spain over the last six weeks – from Murcia to Valencia and finally Madrid, the truck examined the respective sludge in various Spanish sewage treatment plants. Results could be provided directly on site thanks to the mobile test unit's fully equipped lab which will make it possible to evaluate results according to DIN standards. In this way, the actual savings potentials, such as a higher dry matter content or lower energy and polymer consumption, which can be achieved with the help of the Flottweg machines, could be shown.
