Late Christmas Present for Vilsbiburg Family Center

Thursday morning in the heart of Vilsbiburg. The table of the Family Center is loaded with breakfast pretzels, fixings, and fresh-brewed coffee. About 20 parents, primarily mothers, have come this morning to chat, play with their children, and get tips and tricks from an experienced caregiver. 

As a charitable association, the <link http: www.familienzentrum-vilsbiburg.de external-link-new-window>Familienzentrum Vilsbiburg e.V. primarily reiles on the active help of mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers. And they get that support, too. There are currently about 25 volunteers working at the Family Center.

Some of the association's financial support arrives in the form of donations. That was the motivation for the visit of Flottweg Financial Director Peter Frankfurter and Board Member Claudia Lehrhuber to the Family Center in Vilsbiburg. The two "Flottweglers" brought not only warm greetings, but also a donation check for 5,000 Euros. "As a large company in Vilsbiburg, we are absolutely aware of <link internal-link>our social responsibility. One of Flottweg's cherished traditions is to start off the new year with a little financial help for local organizations like the Family Center," says Peter Frankfurter.

Birgit Grünberger, a volunteer at the Familienzentrums Vilsbiburg e.V., was very happy about the generous donation. "We already have a few ideas about what we can do with the money. For example, we'd like to expand our playground, or invest in a ball pit," said Grünberger during the visit.
