Flottweg honored by IHK as an outstanding training company

Flottweg SE has been honored by the IHK Niederbayern as an outstanding training company. The award recognizes the outstanding quality of training at the mechanical engineering company and at the same time demonstrates the company's contribution to promoting young talent in the region. Since 1946, Flottweg has attached great importance to practical and future-oriented training. As a result, 98% of trainees are taken on by Flottweg. The separation technology specialist is currently training apprentices for four professions: Industrial mechanic (m/f/d), mechatronics technician (m/f/d), industrial clerk (m/f/d) with an additional qualification as a certified professional specialist for foreign language communication (m/f/d), and warehouse logistics specialist (m/f/d). 

 

Flottweg's team of trainers is delighted to receive the honor from the IHK Niederbayern. “It's a great honor and a great recognition of our training at Flottweg. We invest a lot in the training of our junior staff because we are firmly convinced that they form the basis for our success,” explains Head of Training Daniel Wimmer. “Our in-house training workshop gives us the opportunity to teach trainees the basics using modern machine tools. Practical orientation is important to us in order to prepare all trainees for the world of work.”

Training as the basis for professional development at Flottweg

There are several employees at Flottweg who started their careers with an apprenticeship and have since progressed within the company. Christian Müller, Head of Business Process Management, started his career with an apprenticeship at Flottweg in 1996: “After my apprenticeship, I worked at a number of stations, such as production or work preparation, and took on my first managerial position in 2016. I have now been Head of Business Process Management since 2022,” explains Christian Müller. “Flottweg has always supported me in the sense that when new opportunities arose, I was also offered the chance to develop professionally.” Christian Müller is one of many Flottweg employees whose career began with an apprenticeship at Flottweg and who have been shown the opportunities for professional development at the mechanical engineering company.
