French Consul Visits Flottweg SE

On April 23, 2018, a delegation including the French consul in Munich, Pierre Lanapats, visited Flottweg in Vilsbiburg. In addition to a brief presentation about the company, the visitors also got a look at the working world of the separation technology specialist. The consul's visit was part of a series of visits by German/French economic movers. 

What started as a larger sales office quickly turned into one of Flottweg's most important subsidiaries. For just about 20 years now, the Vilsbiburg company has maintained a <link>fully-owned subsidiary in France. In the meantime, about 20 employees see annual sales of over eleven million Euros. "After the United States, France is one of our most important companies along with China and Russia," says Speaker of the Board of Flottweg SE, Fritz Colesan.

In that context, the French general consul in Munich, Pierre Lanapats, paid a visit to Flottweg. He was accompanied by a delegation that included Senior Investment Advisor Alexandre Kühl, the deputy general consul Pierre Robion, and the Attaché for Scientific and University Cooperation for Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg, Dr. Paul Alibert.

After a brief introduction, Sven Bedö, Head of the Marketing Department at Flottweg SE, started with a presentation of Flottweg. In addition to a long history starting in 1911, Bedö also showed the visitors the <link>product portfolio of the Lower Bavaria company. This presentation was followed by a talk by the head of the French subsidiary, Jean-Sébastien Bizot. During the subsequent tour of Flottweg Production and our in-house apprentice workshop, the visitors experienced the high precision and engagement shown by the employees of Flottweg in the manufacture of centrifuges and belt presses. General Consul Lanapats was quite impressed: "Flottweg is a company with a long history. It is an example for Bavarian hunger of innovation and quality. It is also a great example for the German-French cooperation“.
