Flottweg and Cideon – A Successful Partnership

Flottweg SE and CIDEON Software & Services GmbH & Co. KG have been co-collaborators in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) integration for many years: it all started with a partnership in the AutoCAD and Inventor area and then continued on with the further development of a PDM (product data management) process before moving on to a fully integrated PLM process in the SAP environment.

In order to integrate the engineering data with the SAP system, the SAP Engineering Control Center (ECTR) was first introduced in collaboration with CIDEON acting as a process consultant and software developer. ECTR ultimately laid the foundation for integrating engineering processes with upstream and downstream logistical processes and also ensured the consolidation and harmonization of the entire PLM system landscape at Flottweg.

As a result of this development, Flottweg has now been invited to participate as a guest speaker at the Cideon Solution Days. Flottweg and ECTR project managers Stefan Beywl and Thomas Dax-Schneider, respectively, have this to say about the implementation project: At the Cideo Solution Days – Cideon’s largest customer event – keynote speeches, panel discussions, and breakout sessions on topics concerning the entire value chain are held every two years. Here you can find more information about the Cideon Solution Days.

Thanks to the close partnership in PLM development, Flottweg has made great strides in this field in recent years and created an innovative system and process landscape in this area. Other steps to further develop this PLM landscape are already planned and will gradually be implemented by both partners.
