Social commitment: Flottweg donates to the region

Flottweg SE is once again setting an example for social commitment in the region this year. With a total donation of 4,000 euros, the company is supporting several charitable projects and organizations in the district of Landshut and the surrounding area. The food bank in Vilsbiburg received 2,000 euros, DenkMalLaden e.V. Vilsbiburg 1,000 euros and fala Landshut also 1,000 euros.

“Our roots are here in the region and we want to give something back. It is important to us to support local projects and initiatives that have a positive impact on our community,” explains Dr. Kersten Link, Chairman of the Management Board at Flottweg. Last year, Flottweg already supported the Father Viktrizius House and the Vilsbiburg Hospice Association with its donations.

Gratitude for the donations

Managing Director Dr. Elisabeth-Maria Bauer is delighted with the interest shown in fala and thanks the representatives from Flottweg for their generous support. “Promoting and supporting volunteering professionally is becoming increasingly important,” she emphasizes. ”At fala, we use volunteers to organize numerous projects that benefit people in the region, such as educational mentors at schools, bus assistance for senior citizens, language support, integration assistance services and much more. As an agency, we are therefore dependent on donations in order to be able to finance their professional work in volunteering advice and placement.”

Elfriede Berger and Gisela Floegel from the DenkMalLaden in Vilsbiburg would also like to thank Flottweg: “The generous donation from Flottweg will enable us to afford our own projector so that we can show special films on site in future. The DenkMalLaden is a unique meeting place, a meeting place for everyone who is looking for contact with other people. With workshops, music and exhibitions, readings and German courses, the volunteer team also offers a monthly repair cafe, vegan breakfast brunch and coffeehouse chess, helping to revitalize the city.”

The Vilsbiburger Tafel is equally delighted with Flottweg's donation. As a non-profit initiative against food poverty, which is run by volunteers from the town, monetary donations and food donations are an important basis for the voluntary work. Flottweg thus supports the daily work of the Vilsbiburg food bank and helps people in need in the region.
