Flottweg Breaking New Ground with Start of Training

A total of 18 apprentices started their training at Flottweg in September. Right in the first week of work, the career starters were off for an "introduction camp" in Regenstauf. The incoming industrial mechanics can also look forward to other new features in our apprenticeship workshop this year. It's been expanded by a third. The latest in workstations were added over the past few weeks. In addition to industrial mechanics, Flottweg will also offer an apprenticeship in mechatronics in the coming year.

A good work atmosphere is a decisive factor in the success of any company. Employees are more productive, demonstrably fewer sick days are taken, but first and foremost, people just feel better. To build a strong "we" feeling right from the start of apprenticeship, Flottweg is trying a new approach this year. Together with the apprenticeship managers and a coach, the 18 young men went Regenstauf for two days. Once in the Oberpfalz, a wide variety of tasks awaited them that they could only solve by working as a team.

 

In addition to building a race car and a variety of climbing tasks, the youth also built a bridge from individual plug connectors. The bridge had to hold the weight of the whole team after it was built. "I had a huge amount of fun. We learned a lot from and about one another. I liked building the race car the best," summarizes Angelo Marcese, first-year apprentice.

 

The incoming industrial mechanics can also look forward to other new features in the apprenticeship workshop this year. It's been expanded by a third. The latest in workstations were added over the past few weeks. Another milling machine will also be integrated into the workshop by the end of the year, which will be available solely for training. This is to ensure that training is as close to practice as possible. In addition to industrial mechanics, Flottweg will also offer an apprenticeship in mechatronics in the coming year.
